Its been a long time since an update, we have bean really busy on the Predator side and a well deserved summer break. Unfortunately during this time, the external hard drive managed to eat everything and we were left with very few pictures, then would you believe it the PC threw a wobbler and lost everything on that too.
I haven't managed much Carp fishing, but this an Orellana Carp of well over 35lb I took on lure from a Belly boat. Check out a bit of the fight on the following video.
Ian and Gaz were over, bringing their cheap wine with them. As always a great laugh and they even managed to catch some fish too
Check out Ian's article
We have been quiet on the carp fishing side of things this year, we have been fairly busy with predator anglers, it's really picking up.
Andy and gang we over the beginning of May, some great lads and good anglers too, they are used to large waters, Andy has even even banked a respectable 71lb'er from Salagou.
From the start things were bad and they got worse for them, firstly they had baking hot temperature of 30 degrees plus with and easterly breeze then temperatures plummeted to around 15degs in the days and it pee'd it down. A couple of fish were taken when the front hit, but they just didn't get their heads down. They did manage several fish to 30lb, but nothing to write home about. What a great set of lads, although they had a hard time with the weather, (worst temp and rain for 40 years in May) they will be back.
Within days the temperature was back to normal for May and I knew the fish were going to get on it so, with the unused particle we had, Justo and I decided to take advantage of the last time we can comfortably fish from the bank and do a couple of day sessions pasty bashing.

Pasty bashing area Orellana.
We were on the bank Monday, 3 days after the lads left and we got straight into the fish, what a nightmare for the lads missing out because of the mental weather.
Justo has never done serious carp fishing so I am showing him the ropes so to say. We were straight into the fish, never managing to get a 3rd rod out. A lot of hard fighting pasties, but great fun. Over the last 2 days we managed over 40 runs between us, a PB for Justo at 45lb and my biggest at 35lb.
